Restoration-Renovation-Painting-General Home Improvements
While we continue the restoration of the Gillis-Grier House we are also doing work for other clients. Some of the projects we have completed this year include:
- Exterior restoration of Poplar Hill Mansion
- Repointing chimneys of Poplar Hill Mansion
- Faux finishing of the woodwork in the main dining room of Poplar Hill Mansion in the color and pattern of the original glaze.
- Ceiling replacement in the foyer and stair hall of a Newtown Victorian.
- Exterior paint on a Tudor-style house by Salisbury City Park.
- Painting and wallpapering to update a 30-year old laundry room.
- Repair of a roof leak at a home near the pocket park.
- Kitchen, bathroom and living room renovations on a ski condo in Virginia.
Exterior Restorations
We are removing all of the paint from most areas of the Gillis-Grier House. After 120 years of paint build-up, it is time to take it back to bare wood. This is a very time consuming task on any house, but the details on this house make it even slower. In photo we had just re-installed the cresting and lightning rod on top of the turret after scraping and painting.Interior Painting
Not all of our painting projects are this dramatic. We can paint your living room or kitchen, or your whole house. We patch holes and cracks in drywall and plaster, and sand and prep the walls for paint. When the painting is done, we take the time to clean our work areas so that the space is ready for you to use.
Trim Carpentry
Whether you want crown molding, chair rails, new doors and casing, or maybe a built-in bookcase or entertaiment center, we can do it. This will add a touch of elegance to any room.Kitchens
Kitchen work can range from a small accent like adding ceramic tile backsplash, to tearing everything out to the studs and building a new kitchen. We can work with your designer or help you with your own design idea.Bathrooms

We offer water gardens because I really enjoy mine and I love creating them. They can be very simple with just a fountain, or complex with a waterfall, stream, bog, and ponds. They bring peace and tranquility to any size outdoor space.Flagstone and Pavers

Sometimes just setting up to do the job is a challenge. Here we had a three story stairway to paint and update the lighting.
